Attribute Listing
Attribute Listing is a structured creativity technique that systematically breaks a product, service, or problem into its component attributes, then challenges each attribute with the question "how could this be changed, improved, or eliminated?" Developed by Robert Crawford at the University of Nebraska in the 1930s, it prevents the tunnel vision of treating a product as a fixed whole and forces examination of each element independently — often revealing improvement opportunities invisible at the aggregate level.
