Forced Connections
Forced Connections is a creativity technique that generates novel ideas by deliberately linking a problem to a random, unrelated stimulus — an object, word, image, or concept. The cognitive mechanism exploits the brain's pattern-recognition tendency: when forced to find a connection between two unrelated things, the mind constructs unexpected conceptual bridges that reveal new approaches to the original problem. The technique is especially effective at breaking fixedness and escaping the "adjacent possible" of obvious solutions.
