Role Storming
Role Storming is a creativity technique in which participants temporarily adopt the perspective of a specific person, character, or persona β real, fictional, or archetypal β and generate ideas as that entity would. Developed by Rick Griggs in the 1980s as an evolution of brainstorming, it breaks the inhibition barrier of generating one's "own" ideas by providing psychological cover through role adoption. Thinking as Steve Jobs, a competitor CEO, a child, or a science fiction villain consistently produces ideas that participants wouldn't generate in their own voice.
