Cynefin Framework

The Cynefin Framework (pronounced "ku-nev-in") is a sense-making model developed by Dave Snowden at IBM that classifies problems into five domains β€” Clear, Complicated, Complex, Chaotic, and Disorder β€” each requiring a fundamentally different management response. Its central insight is that applying the wrong problem-solving approach to the wrong domain type systematically produces failure: analytical methods fail in complex systems; decisive action before sensing fails in complicated ones.
