Upload an EPUB, MOBI or AZW3 file to MindMax Read. Kindle files are converted in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server to do it.

An opening card sums up what the book is about, which chapters to start with, and the questions it is best at answering.

Sign in with a free account and ask anything — including questions whose answer is spread across chapters.

Each answer quotes the passage it rests on. Hover to read it in context; click to jump to that place in the book.

Opening and reading a book need no account. Asking questions needs a free account, and answers use the AI allowance in your plan.
- DRM-free files only
Books bought from a store are usually locked to that store’s app. MindMax opens files without DRM: your own EPUBs, public-domain books, and files the publisher sells unlocked.

Common questions
Can I read MOBI and AZW3 files online?
Yes. MindMax Read converts MOBI and AZW3 to EPUB in your browser and keeps the table of contents. Files with DRM cannot be opened.
Is it free?
Yes. Opening and reading books is free with no account. Asking questions needs a free account and uses the weekly AI allowance of the Free plan.
Can I highlight and keep notes?
In the browser you can save answers as notes in the MindMax online editor or export the conversation as Markdown. Highlights and margin notes that stay with the book are in the desktop app.
