Online Markdown editor
A Markdown editor in your browser that hands over Word files
Write or paste Markdown, see it as a document while you type, and export Word, PDF, Markdown or images. Equations stay editable, tables stay tables, and the document stays in your browser — nothing to install, no account to make.

What the editor does
One document at a time, from the first paste to the file you send.
Paste AI answers as they are
Equations ChatGPT writes between \( \) and \[ \] are converted as they come in, and text copied from a web page arrives as clean Markdown — no stray asterisks or hash signs.
Edit it as a document
Headings, lists, tables, quotes and callouts, code, equations, highlights and emoji show formatted as you type. Type / to insert a block.
Word export that holds up
Equations become Word’s own equations you can click into, tables get real cells, and Mermaid diagrams go in as pictures.
PDF, Markdown, images, rich text
Export a PDF through the print dialog, download the .md, export the document as image cards, or copy it formatted to paste into an email.
Your own .md files
Open a Markdown file from your computer and save it back. Images you paste or drop in are kept with the document and included when you export.
Stays in your browser
Documents are kept in this browser’s own storage, listed in the sidebar. Nothing is uploaded to edit or export them.
With a free account
The AI parts need you to sign in. Everything above works without.
Diagrams from your text
Select text or paste it, pick a diagram type, and the AI draws it — every node linked back to the sentence it came from.
AI diagram generator →AI rewriting you approve
Ask the AI to tighten, expand, rephrase or translate a passage. Each change is shown as a tracked change for you to accept or reject.
Review links
Send the draft as a link. Reviewers comment on the passages without making an account, and the comments come back into the document.
Request review →Tools built on this editor
Each one opens the editor set up for a single job, with a page explaining the details.
Turn AI answers and Markdown into Word or PDF
Paste an answer from ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek or Kimi and export a .docx with real tables and editable equations.
Paste Markdown or open a .md file and export a .docx, equations and tables kept.
LaTeX maths in, native Word equations you can edit out — not pictures.
Diagrams written as Mermaid code, drawn and placed in Word or PDF as pictures.
Turn text into diagrams with AI
Not sure which diagram fits? Paste the text and let the AI pick the type.
Notes, a summary or an article as a mind map, each branch linked to its sentence.
A process described in words, drawn as a flowchart — with swim lanes when several roles are involved.
Figures in a paragraph or a table as a bar, line or pie chart — every number checked against your text.
Tasks, durations and dependencies from a project plan, with dates taken from your text.
Dates and events from a history, a project log or a biography, in order.
Notes on a product, company or plan sorted into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Turn long text into images
AI splits an article into a cover, one point per card and a summary — numbers checked.
An AI answer saved as images, with maths, tables and code drawn properly.
Where it gets hard
- Documents live in this browser
Nothing is kept on a server. Clearing this site’s data, or opening the editor in another browser or on another device, means your documents are not there. Export what you want to keep — there is an option to export them all at once.
- One document at a time
There are no linked notes, backlinks or folders here. Working across a whole folder of PDFs, books and notes, with AI that reads all of them, is the desktop app.
- Export goes one way
Changes made later in the .docx do not come back to the editor. Finish the edits first, then export.
- The AI needs an account and a connection
Editing and exporting need nothing from a server. Diagrams, AI rewriting and review links need you to sign in and to reach MindMax’s servers.
Common questions
What is the MindMax web editor?
A free Markdown editor that runs in the browser at mindmax.me/write. It is made for turning AI answers and Markdown into documents you can hand over: paste, edit, and export Word or PDF with editable equations and real tables. It is the same editor as the MindMax desktop app.
Do I need to install or sign up?
No. Open the page and start typing or paste. An account is only needed for the AI parts — diagrams, rewriting — and for review links.
Where are my documents stored?
In your browser’s own storage, on your device. They are not uploaded to edit or export them, which also means they are not on your other devices.
Can I open and save .md files?
Yes. Open a .md file from your computer and edit it. In browsers that allow it, such as Chrome and Edge, changes save back to the same file; elsewhere you download the edited file.
How is it different from the desktop app?
The web editor handles one document at a time. The desktop app opens a whole folder you already have — PDFs, EPUBs, Word files and notes — with linked notes, AI that reads all of them and quotes its sources, and writing from them.
Open it. Paste. Hand it over.
Free, no account, no watermark. Your documents stay in your browser.
